Why blog?

One of the questions I have been asking myself over the past couple of weeks is why do I want to blog. Some people write blogs for themselves, some people write for others. I’m not really sure exactly where my blogging is going to go. At this stage it is more about myself, my thoughts and writing.

I was reading an article on the Wall Street Journal this week that mentions the concept of critical thinking. The premise of the article is about organizations now seeking potential employees as critical thinkers as they can be more effective and efficient within an organization. I’m not sure I agree with every aspect of the article yet one important aspect is that when I read articles (on the Internet or the Wall Street Journal), I’ll end up learning more if I critically think about the content and what is being said.

So back to the blogging. My reasoning at this stage is to blog as it will allow me to critically think about the topic at hand, why I am writing it, along with a deeper and stronger understanding of that topic.
